SUBSCRIBE VIA RSSAs a designer, I’m constantly proofing the work that I do. Not only to make sure everything is spelled correctly and placed properly, but also to make sure the design is going to represent the client in a way that empowers their brand.
When I design car wraps, for example, I make sure to replicate the wrap on an illustration of the actual vehicle on which it will be applied. This is so I can gauge how the door handles, wipers, tail lights, and other exterior parts will affect the design.
Something I’m certain this company’s illustrator didn’t consider:

I remember a few years back we had a bus that would drive around with a photo of a guy on it and right at his crotch level there was a big black bar. It looked like he had been censored and it was hilarious. Needless to say, they pulled the artwork but it gave me a giggle.
