As the girlfriend of a woman who was thrust unwillingly into menopause prematurely (thank you chemo, you BITCH) and is actually 12 years older than I am, you might offer to explore the lesbian side of cougarism. (is that a word? It is now.)

She might possibly vivisect me if she knew I even thought about joking about this, but you gotta admit, it’s a different twist on the ad offer!

I’m definitely not in the cougar category. I’d probably get in serious legal trouble if I started going after younger men. I’m a long way from my menopause (though I’m at the point in the month when I really wish that wasn’t the case).

To be honest, I’d probably be just as amused and interested on your take on menopausal cougars as everything else on your blog. Bingo though… that might just drive me away.

I’ve been following your blog for several months now. Brilliant posting. The posting that got me totally hooked was the one where you caution against comparing woman parts to fruit. Another brilliant posting. And my FB friends loved it.) I appreciate good humor because I tend to be quite serious when I write. My most recent posting alludes to some of these issues you touch on here. Except, instead of cougars, I wrote about a true predator, Herman Cain. And his totally passive partner in crime, Joe Paterno. There’s much here that begs for good discussion in our communities. Thanks for putting it so lightly that we can pick it up and take a serious look at it.

I’m in my last year of the “puma” but would never consider a younger man. I want an older man. Definitely in his 40s AT LEAST.

I’ve lost 80 pounds (on my own thankyouverymuch) but darn that belly boop! My kid was 10 pounds at birth… does that excuse it?

If he gives you the $75,000 GO FOR IT! But only if he throws in a tummy tuck…

My estimation of you will not suffer.

If you write about cougars or menopause, I will stop reading your blog. I’m 40 years old and am already bracing myself to face that horrible life stage, I’d rather not read about it on a blog I get laughs from — because there’s nothing funny about hot flashes, mood swings and dry, blotchy skin.

Unless, of course, you include zombies and man-eating, demonic cats. Cause THAT would be funny.

Maybe.
