Ya Think?

by Telling Dad on February 19, 2010

I love Craigslist. When we were moving, and the movers told us that they couldn’t fit all of our possessions onto the truck, we had one day to either sell off the goods or leave them abandoned. It took less than 2 hours to sell everything that remained. Ka-ching!

I also love Craigslist as a buyer. Many times people are desperate to sell items (as we were) and you can score some serious deals.

Now I love Craigslist for an entirely different reason…its comedic value. As I was snooping around for an older computer system, I came across everything from “1 Bottle of Walgreens Pedialyte” to this gem:

ps3

I almost want to buy this just to help foster education but I don’t know how far $150 can take someone these days.

I’ll feel really bad if he actually does need the money for a collage though. Glue ain’t cheap.

I know, I know. I’m gone for weeks and THIS is what I come back with to break the silence? Don’t worry. To the three loyal readers I have left, I’m back with lots to share. Consider this my warm up. Like an engine starting for the first time after a long winter.

Like what you see? Please share!

well welcome back. Don't look in the personal section, I can only imagine what you will come up with in that section.

Grateful to have your voice back in the conversation. Hope that means that things are going better in your home and life.

With that being said – this is incredibly funny! I am hopeful that this individual does not spend $150 on glue, unless it is to collage their whole house!

Craigslist is great at offering hours of entertainment. As well as a great place to unload and re-load stuff.

Well, I noticed you already have 5 comments to this post, so you DO have more than 3 readers still following you! And I just found your blog and think it's great! So count me in now too!

I read your terribly sad story, and looked the man up on google. I see this happened in Canton–I am originally from Akron-wow-so close to home… My heart goes out to your family.

I enjoyed your post, and it reminds me of a T-shirt I love: "Bad spellers of the world…UNTIE!"

Welcome back to the blog-o-verse Greg! Glad to hear the move was successful in that you actually made it to your destination. Whether or not you made it in one piece has yet to be told I suppose. :D You have been missed.

Looking forward to your next installment.

That must be one expensive collage. Perhaps it needs a gold laced frame?

I'm a Craigslist junkie. I have about 30 RSS feeds on my Google reader from Craigslist to keep my eye out for things I want/need.

Recently I've purchased:

*Canon 50D with 70-300mm IS lens and extras. Flipped my old 40D (and my older copy of the 70-300mm IS lens) for $50 less. I also made out with better memory cards when all was said and done.

*A Diamondback bike for my daughter in great condition for $20 (which sold new for over $100 )

I've also sold some of our old baby items. Even my daughter's old crib mattress. Selling is a bit of a pain as you need to sift through all the "Can you ship it to my nephew in Zaire?" crap, but it's worth it.

Glad to see you back. My wife and I read you frequently. Hope everything is going well with your family.

Arts and crafts supplies are indeed very expensive these days! Poor dude. Assuming he used one, that would even have passed a spell check. Anywho, that was awesome, and I'm so glad you're back!!!
