Over the last 40 years it seems that all the galactic nerds aboard the Enterprise have enjoyed new hair styles except Spock.
While Captain Kirk continues to get all kinds of babes, both human and alien alike, everyone’s favorite elven-eared Vulcan continues to explore the universe and induce mind melds with the same old bowl haircut.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Perhaps the intent was to choose a hairstyle so ridiculous that no one would dare copy it, thereby maintaining what is literally the most original haircut in the universe.
But this exclusivity ended in 1994 with the coming of Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber.
Gimme the Spock.
And now? The movie producer’s attempts to make Spock look all cool is failing miserably. Heartthrob or not, I just see a guy who aspires to own a worm farm.
It’s just not working for me.
But don’t take my word for it. Make your own assessment. Am I alone in finding these characters interchangeable?
Enough said.

They are almost interchangeable, I don’t think that Spocks Vulcan personality would have worked well in Dumb and Dumber. He’d be all boring and not funny.
