Flirty Girl Fitness Goal Surpassed!

by Telling Dad on July 22, 2009

fgcelebrateIt has taken me an hour to write this post and it’s not because I don’t know what to say. Quite the contrary. I actually have too much to say!

I am just so thrilled to report that our $500 goal for my Flirty Girl Fitness Challenge was met less than 28 hours after the call went out for support.

The only downside is that you all raised funds too quickly! I completely underestimated the response and actually figured it would take up to two weeks for me to raise $500. Heck, I thought I’d struggle to raise $250!

But the generosity and feverish efforts that so many of you put forth has just blown me away. I will be posting separately about all of the contributors but I wanted to wait until I could focus entirely on that so that they get a proper thank you.

I will be keeping everyone updated here on the blog and I encourage you to check back now and then until my Flirty Girl kit arrives. We’ll then open it together on video and get this baby started!

I have been begged and prodded to do a workout with the feather boa that comes with the Flirty Girl kit.

I jokingly said that I’d do it if we raised $1,000 because I felt it would be an unattainable goal. How wrong I was.

If we double our goal and hit $1,000 in contributions for the Sweet Dreams Fund then I will do a workout with the feather boa. I can’t fathom why anyone would want to see this but I will honor the promise.

As more contributions are received (click here), more and more of the pink feather boa will be revealed until such time $1,000 is reached. Should that happen before my Flirty Girl Fitness kit arrives then I will, albeit begrudgingly, do one of their feather boa workouts.

Flirty Girl Time!

Thank you again for your support and PLEASE don’t let the message fade. I still need to get the word out so that hundreds, even thousands of people, follow along and watch my progress. After all, this viewership will be critical in helping to spread awareness about domestic violence and the needs of the shelters who offer a safe haven to women and children.

Update: July 22 – 12:26pm – Looks as though my order shipped on Monday via UPS. I did pay for expedited processing, which is probably one notch higher than them walking it to me, but still. I’m assured it won’t take two weeks.

Tomorrow, Thursday, I’ll be returning to my typical blogging antics but there will still be daily updates on our progress with the Flirty Girl Fitness Challenge. I hope you’ll stop by and check out what I have to say as we lead up to the start of Flirty Girl!

You DO know we won’t be stopping at $999.00 lol. IN YOUR DREAMS! Amazing how people thrive on others humiliations. LOL can’t wait!

If I win that Cozi contest, you’re getting the full $100. then we only need $10 to see the feather boa routine. What can we get you to do for more money? I can see a whole vault of YouTube viral videos being born here.
